JOTI

The PLs and APLs from the scout section joined in with a trial JOTI- Jamboree on the internet. They joined up with Pudsey scout troop at the Pudsey scout shop. The scouts learnt how to do morse code and the phonetic alphabet. They had fun using radios to pass messages and enjoyed playing on the online morse code games. Each scout was partnered up with someone from Pudsey and they were playing on the games. All the scouts had lunch then looked at the various places that Pudsey had reached.  Unfortunately for Farsley scouts, the internet went down in the building that we were working in meaning that we couldn't reach anyone abroad. Apart from this all the scouts learnt something and enjoyed their day. Thanks to this trial, the younger scouts will get to have a go at JOTI in the future as the scout leaders now know how it works.
