This year the scouts took up the challenge of sleeping in a cardboard box. For some scouts this was the first time, some the second and for a few of the older ones third. The scouts arrived at Hunters Greave and started to put up their boxes. Jasmine, Daisy, Hannah and Katie made a box for four, Ellie Adam and Oscar made a hexagonal box, Tommy, Kyle,Woody and Kyle each made single tobelerones and Johnathon, Luke and Jay made a box for three and a single box. When the boxes were made the scouts went inside the hut and had dinner. The scouts then did a quiz while the leaders lit the campfire. When the campfire was lit, all the scouts made their way down to the fire. All the scouts sung campfire songs and when they ran out, they started listening and singing along to songs by Queen and other fun party songs. After the campfire the scouts watched a film called rudolph and had hot chocolate and biscuits. The scouts then shuffled into their sleeping bags and went to sleep. When the scouts woke in the morning they had breakfast and started to take their boxes down and gave the cardboard to one of the leaders who put it on the fire. They tidied up the hut and the campsite and waited for their parents to pick us up. Everyone enjoyed the camp and it gave everyone a feel to be homeless.
